Barullo Taberna Española

About This Project

Barullo Taberna Española offers a culinary experience with Spanish roots, within a space that pays tribute to the Mercado San Miguel of Madrid. Barullo Taberna Española celebrates Puerto Rican’s Spanish heritage through its cuisine and the camaraderie atmosphere of an authentic Spanish tavern with multiple stations to satisfy the tastes of foodies, locals and visitors. With an urban decor that combines shapes and textures in blue and terracotta hues, the venue maintains a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout 6,000 square feet. PRISA Group did not skimp on achieving a world-class design and setting. For this, it relied on the services of Livit, a Madrid restaurant consulting and design firm led by Benjamín Calleja, Jeffrey Beers International with extensive experience in entertainment gastronomy, together with Design + Development, a local firm led by Gonzalo Ferrer, AIA, and BluHost who studied the concepts of Spanish markets in the United States and bakeries in San Juan, seeking to create an authentic experience.
